The 'SPORTING' truth and the untruths!!!

Truth;Sports is a game of passion...
Untruth; We have to cause chaos when disenfranchised...

The World over,Sports has been known to make even the most cultured socialites behave in not so suggestive ways,a variety of ways to be precise; name calling, bottle throwing, knife wielding, undressing and of cause the common one in our local scene...Stone throwing!!!

Truth; Its barbaric and does not hold sway in our century...
Untruth; We have to do it because its been passed down our generation...

If the word on the streets is as it is,then indeed its scary and outright immoral, that someone holding high office can and will brazenly hire goons/ruff tags to do their bidding and in consideration to the lovely game that is Football,we are amok, thrashing on the behind as was common time back needs to make a comeback, quite a dreadful experience if i may add.Am lost for words that the chaos that rocked the derby read; Gor Mahia vs AFC Leopards (Kukus) was preplanned and executed at the vehement of our bloodthirsty masterminds who apparently will go any lengths to show their knowledge of stupidity or lack of it thereof.

Truth; We do not have to be in agreement all the time...
Untruth;Fighting will always settle the matter...

Holli poll-oi...utter rubbish,if indeed the referee was biased in his officiating stern action needs to be taken to remedy the situation,in doing so our dignity will be saved albeit unbeknown to us.That FKL and KPL did not anticipate the outcome considering the political storm brewing is sad,the tension between rivals in the ODM was enough cause for the game to be closely monitored by the two bodies, they did not and that to me is negligence!!

Truth;we can remedy the situation...
Untruth;Gor Mahia or Kogallo will always throw stones..

FKL and KPL need to come up with strategies on handling such incidents, its still manageable and they are sporadic in nature, after the consultant from G4S was brought in and came with a detailed report on how to handle crowds after FIFA banned the Nyayo National Stadium,we should have been running helter-skelter in implementing some of the ideas, having seat Nos should be the first...allocating every fan a seat number will see us ridding the stadium of a few bad elements, this will allow Sports enthusiasts go a step further and have family outings,my kids love football, but the risks outweigh the fun,i and many others will not have this opportunity.
Searches should be thorough, any tools, stuff, things not permitted into the Stadium should not be in...No arguments on this!
Rowdy groups of Youth, already drunk should not be allowed in.

If as a Sports loving people we want to get the gratification that comes with it,we have to be in tandem with some of  the issues that were raised on that Document...it can happen anywhere and the consequences can be catastrophic, the Greece example was bad and so are the one we witness in South America...

Truth; There is a way forward,it has to start NOW!
Untruth;All this is UNTRUE!

AFC Leopards has withdrawn from the April 1 KPL Top Eight knockout clash against rivals Gor Mahia, after the violence that marred Sunday’s league derby at the Nyayo Stadium.
The fixture was planned for Moi International Stadium Kasarani, chairman Alex Magelo announced that they will not honour it to fight impunity in the sport and avoid revenge plans by their fans. Football Kenya Federation (FKF) chairman Sam Nyamweya, however, said that they would convince Leopards to honour the fixture, but announced that it will be moved to a neutral ground.

"Serious punishment should also be meted out on their fans since a number of our fans were seriously injured from the fracas. The team should also compensate our injured fans and pay for damages," said Magelo. He added: "We want to fight hooliganism in football and we cannot allow some things to go on. We will not play the Top Eight competition because of various reasons because we understand that our fans are also planning revenge on that day."

The club also demanded that KPL award them the maximum points from the derby that ended in a barren draw claiming that it should have been called off after being stopped for close to 25 minutes and three points awarded to the visiting team.
"We are protesting the inability of match officials to stop the match and award us the three points after the match had been stopped for about 25 minutes following crowd trouble caused by our opponents.
Leopards suffered the same fate during the semi-final of last year’s Cup competition when our fans started chaos and the match was awarded to Gor after it had been stopped for 13 minutes," Magelo said.
No decision has been made yet as FKF has given KPL 48 hours to furnish them with their action plan following the fracas on Sunday.

What next,i ask for this beautiful game.....

Gor Mahia Vs AFC Leopards Sunday 3pm My Prediction: K’Ogalo 0 – 0 Ingwe ,Interesting indeed that these two age-old rivals are meeting at a time when their fortunes are so different. Gor Mahia are struggling and there’s no flow in their game. K’Ogalo have managed just one win this season in all competitions; an opening day league victory over Thika United. They opened the season with a lot of promises but things are not  just working out..

They even fired the whole technical bench after a series of luckstre performances and brought in forme Gor legend Bob Oyugi..time will tell if he is the man for the job with the crowd sometimes wanting former coach Zico back,we will certainly be watching this one keenly..

AFC on the other hand seem to be on a roll...Koops the coach has set his eyes firmly on winning this seasons trophy, there was talk of AFC not playing their super cup game against Gor but its yet to be confirmed...what next for this two great teams, what next for Kenyan football???

The biggest of them all is finally here...The Derby commonly known as the Mashemejis Derby in Kenyan Football circles...

It is GorMahia vs AFC Leopards...who is going to draw the first blood!!!

My bet is a DRAW, WHATS YOUR BET???

Just what is ailing GorMahia Foot ball Club...having won only 1 of their game and loosing 5 games on a straight surely is not what the fans will want from a team with such a rich history...what needs to be done has to be done Now!!!

And may i dare add..Urgently!!!
